On 17 May 2016, Nuffield Health supported Arthroplasty for Arthritis in a challenge to swim the English Channel. Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. volunteers of all abilities swam as many lengths of the The Nuffield Pool, Clifton, Bristol as they could to contribute toward swimming the Channel. As it turned out, so many amazing swimmers took part that after completing the crossing once, we were able to start a return journey.
The event was an unusual and fun event and we would like to thank all those that took part in the swim, donated to the charity or sponsored the swimmers.
